Eco-friendly/sustainability
What distinguishes Purple Planet Packaging is our independence, which grants us the freedom to work in close collaboration with leading specialist manufacturers of eco-friendly and plastic free packaging worldwide, as well as UK importers. This independence enables us to offer an extensive range of over 400 compostable products, conveniently accessible in just one location. This results in impartial guidance to all of our customers, ensuring they select the most appropriate products for their needs.
Why is plastic free packaging important?
At Purple Planet Packaging, we share your deep awareness of the pressing need for businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and shift towards sustainability. Our mission is to stand as your dependable companion in this endeavour, offering inventive packaging choices that not only meet your operational needs but also contribute to a greener future. We are all actively trying our best to minimise our carbon footprint and by switching to plastic free packaging, we can be the change that we want to see in this world.
As of October 1st 2023, the UK government has implemented a ban on single use plastic. This new ban represents a significant stride in addressing the environmental consequences of single use plastics. It serves as a straightforward and convenient strategy that not only highlights the plastic predicament but also encourages public backing for the cause.
Purple Planet Packaging remains dedicated to providing sustainable plastic free packaging solutions that adhere to the latest regulations. Together, we can navigate these changes seamlessly and continue our journey towards a greener planet.
Recycling and composting
Our entire range of products, from our cold cups to our clear bags, is suitable for commercial composting alongside food waste, wherever such composting facilities are available. Our products have received certification from independent organisations verifying their ability to decompose in less than 12 weeks in industrial composting facilities.
Our plant-based products are derived from renewable plant crops such as corn, sugarcane and potatoes, which are annually replenished. These materials encompass natural corn starch and sugarcane fibres, also known as bagasse, all of which can be converted into eco-friendly, plastic free packaging options. These plant-based materials serve as exceptional substitutes for conventional petroleum-based plastics.
Our certification provides the confidence and reassurance that all of our products are sourced using the finest, natural components that are not only safe for use but also safe for the planet.
