Use a practical clamshell for food to go
Open the lid fully, place the food in the centre and leave space around the closure. Then fold the lid down and check the front tab. Avoid pressing a tall burger against the top when closing the box.
The corrugated board provides a more structured feel than a thin paper wrap. However, portion size still matters: leave enough room for the lid to sit naturally over the food. Check both the height of the filling and the width of the bun.
Check your usual portion in a sample before planning a larger batch. Food shapes, toppings and serving styles can all affect the space you need. Also, keep unused packaging in a clean, dry area until service.
